Congratulations Les Green on Officiating at over 100 meetings.
Les first got the Karting bug when he had a day at Newcastle in1992 and then started Karting at Combined District Kart Club with his
daughter in Arrow karts.
Les entered his first race meeting in 1993 at Wollongong Kart Racing Club and finished in 5th place in the clubman light class.
In 2002 when he attended the Over Forties meeting, he met Jeff Tressider who suggested he should try speedway.
He couldn’t believe that there was a speedway track nearby, NSW Speedway Kart Club at Nepean.
He won some titles & championships with the club, however, found the fun and all the family orientated people were the best of all!
Les then joined another club, Central Coast Speedway Kart Club at Gosford and found this club was friendly & had a family feeling, too.
About 2004 he became a scrutineer for NSW Speedway Kart Club then in
2013 he became a clerk of the course. Les stopped racing at 65yrs and has put all his energy into Officiating at many different clubs.
Les is a life member of NSW Speedway Kart Club.
