Secondly, but most importantly, it's time to congratulate the winners of both our championships;

Our Outright championship winners are Kart 90, St Croix racing - regular drivers, Andy Sandlin, Mitch Lozina, Michael Schiller and Drew Russell. From all at 4SKA a massive congratulations on an extreme effort to win the outright trophy for 2018.

With two minutes to go, the championship was on the line, Kart 90 had blown an engine with 20 minutes to go, and had to finish 11th or higher and cross the start finish line within three minutes of the leader. With a minute and a half to spare the kart returned to the circuit with replacement motor fitted to take the title. It was a hollywood finish and the atmosphere was electric.

Our CHAMP Class winners, and so very well deserved, Dieci Racing's who's regular drivers Hayden Cox, Greg Cox and Phil Middleton did a top job all year to take home class honours.

I'd like to personally thank our officials who continue to turn up round on round and provide our growing club with a stable platform to race. To Barry, Santa, Ray, Maxine, Bruce, Murray, Shaun and Joel, thanks again for your time and patience in what is generally a thankless job. Always remember, you're number one.

To my committee, great work, lets keep the momentum going and deliver the projects we have on the table to take this series to a point where we have forty karts at the big tracks - that's our goal, and its achievable.

Briggs 206 is here, and everyone at the track on Friday saw just how promising the future is, the package is fast, the price is right, it's our future and everyone seems excited to embrace it. You can't sit on your hands flogging a dead horse, and while the Subaru has been great for us for many years, the Briggs will be bigger and better.

Lastly, thanks so much to the teams. It's the teams and the people that make this series what it is. Many comment about how well we do things on the people front. We are by far and away the friendliest club I've ever been a part of. We race hard, but we sit around the camp fire eating a Dieci sponsored sausage sandwich after the racing and drinking an ale and have a laugh about the weekend.

Our new rule book is not far away, it will be practical, it will make sense, and it will make your life easier, its a common sense approach to club karting. Our calendar will be announced in the next month, and I will be writing to you all soon with how you can start preparing for season 2019.

Get those RSVPs in for the Christmas Party Presentation night, we need to know who's coming on the night we crown our champions.
